Yes, you can go back to practically anywhere in the game (exceptions: the Outer Planes, and the Player's Maze, also the F.O.R., but I don't think you have gotten to most of these). There might be some things you can do, and not be able to get back to places, but I don't think so, or, if there are, they won't totally ruin your game. Hope this helps! :)
