TOP 10 reasons why Baldur's gate is better than Planescape: TormentWhen we asked the fans on Torment to make a "Top 10 reasons why Torment will be better than Baldur's Gate", we didn't expect to see Becker make a top 10 the other way around. Well, sort of. Just see for yourself... 10 More CDs make for better frisbee 9 Absence of plot so I don't have to pay attention 8 Identical dialogue options for dimwitted Paladin and genius necromancer ensures me the same game every time so I know I haven't missed anything 7 The Baldur's Gate NPCs can't tell if my character is male or female, a huge leap for gender relations 6 Noober -- master of Zen questioning 5 NPC followers that don't care if I shove their life partners into barehanded solo combat with an Ogre, I want final say over who is in my party (sorry Dynahair, you just didn't make the cut). 4 Who cares if I'm good or evil? The Baldur's Gate reputation system accuratly reflects life in that my karmic worth is determined only by how other people precieve me. 3 Hey, I like watching a five minute death sequence for my main character before I reload! 2 I see nothing wrong with a elite army of men living together in a large bunker and calling themselves "Flaming Fists" 1 Finally, BG is better than Torment because BG came in that cheap cardboard envelope that makes it easy to recycle. Why mine fell apart the day after I got it! That's *real* environmental responsibility. Thanks to Becker! To see more Planescape-humour visit Becker's fan-site |
